Applicants to this call may be national, foreign or stateless candidates, aged 18 years or over who, at the end of the deadline for submitting applications:

  1. Hold a Doctor’s and Master’s degree in the area of ​​Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Economics or a similar area.
  2. Have solid scientific knowledge and experience in stakeholder engagement methods, participatory modeling and analysis of socio-ecological systems.
  3. Have knowledge and experience in the management and monitoring of European and national projects.
  4. Have knowledge and experience in organizing dissemination and communication events.
  5. Have experience and motivation to work with stakeholders and in an interdisciplinary team.

  6. Possess knowledge in system dynamics modeling and relevant software for this purpose, e.g. STELLA.

  7. The candidate’s experience in the field of the water-energy-food-ecosystems nexus will also be valued.

d) Certificates of qualifications, duly registered and / or recognized in Portugal.

Evaluation of applications

The selection of the researcher to be hired will be carried out through the evaluation of their scientific and curricular path, in accordance with the RJEC, with the following selection criteria and respective weighting:

  1. Doctoral area and Master’s area relevant to the project (weight: 0.10);
  2. Knowledge and solid scientific experience in stakeholder engagement methods, participatory modeling and analysis of socio-ecological systems, proven through publications, communications at scientific meetings and other (weight: 0.30);
  3. Knowledge and experience in the management and monitoring of European and national projects (weight: 0.20);
  4. Knowledge and experience in organizing dissemination and communication events (weight: 0.10);
  5. Experience and motivation to work in with stakeholders and in an interdisciplinary team (weight: 0.10).
  6. Knowledge and experience in system dynamics modeling and relevant software for this purpose, e.g. STELLA (weight: 0.10).
  7. Work experience in industry and in in the field of the water-energy-food-ecosystems nexus (weight: 0.10).
